Why Plant Dianthus (Cheddar Pinks)?

Home | About Us | Cat

Plant Dianthus that are super hardy and reliable. We have grown many cultivars over many years and have narrowed our offerings down to four. The ones we are growing are strong garden performers, forming low, tight mats of colorful, fragrant flowers during spring and summer in your sunny garden. They are very attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds and are extremely drought tolerant.  Deer seldom find them appealing.  These flat mats of foliage are quite evergreen and make a nice groundcover in a hot sunny area.  Care is simple.  Shear off the dead flower stalks down to the base and you will be left with an attractive mat of foliage, which is often silvery in appearance.  These plants are show stoppers placed at the edge of a garden, in rock gardens or in troughs.
